It was such a surprise to see Vanessa Atkinson and Tania Bailey as well, to participated in NSC series tournament. Both of them have not joint the KL Open 2009 but thanks for NSC series we are able to enjoy their games at Bukit Jalil.

Today's final was between Vanessa Atkinson and Shelley Kitchen with the results 8/11, 2/11, 13/11, 14/11, 13/11. Such a great come back performed by Kitchen to have the hat-trick win for NSC titles, who has won #1 and #2 events in February 2009

Men event, local star Nafiizman lost to Mehboob, 6/11, 11/9, 6/11, 11/7, 12/10

It was an interesting match between Kamran Khan and Mohd Nafiizwan Adnam on round one dated 18th March 2009 for the above said tournament at Bukit Jalil.
Kamran almost took the match with two games lead and toward match ball, 10/8 on 3rd game. It was so close for Kamran to beat his compatriot, Nafiizwan, currently Malaysia single no 3 and ranked more than 70 places higher. But the final results 11/13, 7/11, 13/11, 11/3, 11/3, Kamran lost.....some said : it's so near and it's so far

Pasar Malam is a Malay word means Night Market or Street Market that open in the evening. Usually Pasar Malam located in residential neighbourhoods however Bangsar Pasar Malam is just next to Bangsar Village II, the slip road in between Jalan Maarof and Jalan Telawi 2.

Pasar Malam is where many stalls gather together that usually sell goods such as fruits, vegetables, snacks, toys, clothes, movie discs and etc. (note : in Bangsar hardly see any movie discs). The goods are sell at cheap or reasonable prices. The Bangsar Pasar Malam only open once a week which is on Sunday evening.

Congrat PSC.. Keep Up The Great Job

Guys,

Recently we received many visitors that come to our blog. As you can see total numbers for unique visitors (fist time visitors) were increased dramatically as compared to last month - see the graft above. Please be note that, it is not even middle of the month yet.

From last 7 days, total numbers of unique visitors was recorded high as you can see on the graff above. I believe it is due to the visitors who are looking update on CIMB KL open recently. Thanks and million credits to Sam for his effort in updating us with the tournament.

I already install new widget from feedjit to track down the visitors, and to no supprise, most of them came to our site via google on "CIMB KL Open". As you know, many squash site (ie squash site uk, squash talk, etc...) were unable to update about the tournament as fast as Sam did.

As you can see also, total numbers of returning visitors during the tournament also show some interesting value. It show that our blog been refered through out the tournament.

So keep up this great job guys.

KL Open 2009 - Quarters ( 05 march 2009)

Venue for quarters final, CIMB KL Open 2009 located at Berjaya Time Square.

I found some interesting games during the KL Open quarters final at the above venue dated 5 march 2009.

1. Rachael Grinham beat Alison Waters 11/9, 4/11, 10/12, 11/8, 12/10. (63m)

The fifth games (video below) demonstrated how Grinham escaped narrowly from Waters when Waters managed to recovered from 7/9 down and leading 10/9, match ball. However two mistakes came from Waters and Grinham finally enter semi-final with the fifth game results 12/10.

2. Nicol David beat Jenny Duncalf 11/1, 10/12, 11/7, 11/9 (46m)

An interesting second game when Jenny came from behind 6/10 and took the game with 12/10 (as video below). My opinion, except game 1, Jenny plays very well for subsequent games, but may be ..... Nicol is too good.

3. Laura Lengthorn beat Natalie Grinham 11/6, 11/9, 11/6 (23m)

Natalie, the regular participant for KL Open and Malaysia Open. We all love to watch her games and she always is one the proposed player to face Nicol (of course) in the final.

However, Lengthorn won 1st and 2nd games and kept leading in the third game, 10/2. Can Natalie recovered from behind in such situation to force the match into forth and fifth ? The video below shown Natalie managed to gain another 4 points...... 4 points only.....

KL Open 2009 - round one (04 march 09)

(why Nicol holds two rackets during warm-up session ?)

The most interesting match of the round one, to my opinion, shall be between Ong Beng Hee (Mas) vs Mohamed EI Shorbagy (Egy). Shorbagy, age 18, current world ranking 22 for march 2009, men world junior champion 08 (beat Ivan Yuen on quarter final) and British Junior u19 2009 (beat Ivan Yuen on final).

The match took 56 minutus with Beng Hee beat shorbagy 11/3, 6/11, 11/4, 7/11, 11/6

Hometown

I reached hometown and passed by the clock tower where I noted the time shown 9.35pm. Yes, a bit late due to heavy rain all the way from kl and I have to drive more careful and extra slow.

I remember "n" years ago when i broke off with someone, I used to come back hometown very often on Saturday after working hours. I preferred to come back by bus as too worried or definitely i will lost my concentration during the journey if drive myself. Therefore, the time to reach hometown was very uncertain if by bus, may be 9pm, 9.30pm, 10pm or etc.

However, every time when the bus drove into the bus station, my father was always there waiting for me regardless 9pm or 10pm or etc. He did not say much, just carried my bag and drove me back home. I did not ask as well, for example : how long you have been waited here.

He always welcome me home without queried me much with any questions even I came back weekly during the period.

Today, he was no more in this world since 2006 due to road incident. But I kept thinking of him especially kept properly the stuffs (see picture below) he last bought for me when I departed from hometown. Suddenly think about him again when I passed by the clock tower, last night....
